Job Description  

Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state of the art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoighaire, South Dublin. 

The plant is one of the most dynamic in Ireland and is currently undergoing rapid expansion and capital investment. 

This is an excellent opportunity to get experience on Ireland's leading aseptic manufacturing plant.

This is an ongoing long-term project with an initial 12 month contract with the strong possibility of an extension. 

We are looking for a qualified and experienced construction safety engineer to join our team and ensure that our construction projects comply with the highest standards of health and safety.

As a construction safety engineer, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the safety policies and procedures on our construction sites.

You will also conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and provide training and guidance to the site staff and contractors.

You will report to the project manager and liaise with the relevant authorities and stakeholders.

Review and approve RAMS documentation 

Walk construction work with the contractor in advance of execution to safe practices are followed

Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, and identify and eliminate any hazards or violations.

Prepare and maintain safety documentation, such as reports, records, permits, and certificates.

Provide safety training and orientation to the site staff and contractors, and ensure that they follow the safety rules and procedures.

Investigate and report any accidents, incidents, or near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.

Coordinate and cooperate with the project manager, the site supervisor, the client, and the relevant authorities and stakeholders on safety matters.

Keep abreast of the latest developments and best practices in the field of construction safety.

Implement safety plans and programs for each construction project, in accordance with our policies and the applicable regulations and standards.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering, occupational health and safety, or a related field.

At least three years of experience as a construction safety engineer or a similar role, ideally at a biopharmaceutical facility (or similar).

Knowledge of the construction industry and the relevant safety regulations and standards.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Package

Contract role - Hourly rate €50 - €60 per hour

The initial contract duration 12 months with view to extend
